Data protection laws are changing - and it affects YOUR business.

In just six months' time, on 25 May 2018, the EU's General Data Protection Laws (GDPR), the successor to the Data Protection Act of 1995 will become enforceable across Europe for all businesses, regardless of size, sector or location. This means you don't have much time to get up to speed with what you need to know to comply with the new regulations.

Under the new regulations, the definition of what constitutes personal data is being expanded to include an individual's genetic, biometric, and location data, as well as their online identifiers (for example data gathered via fitness trackers).

To help you understand the steps you need to take to comply, Digital Boost have produced this FREE downloadable guide - GDPR for Businesses, which highlights the key factors in understanding how to begin your compliance journey, including:

  • encouraging awareness within your business
  • conducting privacy impact assessments
  • publicising your privacy notices
  • outlining what to do in the event of a data breach
  • deciding whether you need a Data Protection Officer in your business.
